The Parable Of The
Sower
And Jesus stood beside the sea and taught. The
multitudes pressed close upon Him and He went into a boat that was nearby and
put a little ways from shore, and then He spoke in parables. He said, Behold,
a sower took his seeds and went into his field to sow. With lavish hand
he scattered forth the seeds and some fell in the hardened paths that humanity
had made, and soon were crushed beneath the feet of other men. And birds came
down and carried all the seeds away.
Some seed fell on rocky
ground where there was little soil. They grew and soon the blades appeared and
promised much. But then there was no depth of soil, no chance for
nourishment, and in the heat of daytime sun they withered up and died.
Some seeds fell where
thistles grew, and found no earth in which to grow and they were lost. But
other seeds found nourishing environment in the rich and tender soil and grew
apace, and in the harvest it was found that some brought forth a hundred fold,
some sixty fold, some thirty fold. They who have ears to hear may hear.
They who have the hearts to understand may know.
The Purpose Of
Parables
Now, his disciples were beside Him in the boat, and
Thomas asked, Why do you speak in parables?
And Jesus said, My words, as every word of the Master, are dual in their sense
have two meanings. To you who know the language of the soul, my words
have meanings far too deep for other humanity to comprehend. The other
sense of what I say is all the multitude can understand. These words are food
for them. The inner thoughts are food for you. Let everyone reach forth
and take the food that he is ready to receive.
Then His disciples asked Him, saying,
"What does this parable mean?"
And He said, "To
you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the
rest it is given in parables, that 'Seeing they may not see, and hearing they
may not understand,' until they have grown in spirit by making the necessary
efforts.
The Importance Of Parables
Apostle Matthew: Ourselves are saying that there was never a time Jesus said there is nothing to compare the kingdom of heaven with. Parable. Many prophets, and when ourselves The Twelve Apostles were here in the world, we used good things to compare and explain the things in heaven.
The Head: That is true.
Apostle Matthew: And the parables and their explanations make the Holy Spirit in the children of God to rise, to become radiant and to grow form one spiritual level to a higher spiritual level. Son of man, the person shall be having the spirit of perseverance. But if they say that there is none, nothing to compare and explain heavenly things, they remain standing still without spiritual progress.
Everything good comes from God the Father. Therefore, holy things shall be used to compare and explain the heaven, for humanity to know that the good things, righteousness and holiness, which they are doing here on earth, even so they shall go up to heaven and continue the same.
With many such
parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it; he did not
speak to them without a parable, but privately to his own disciples he
explained everything.
The Explanations Of The Parable Of The Sower
And then He spoke that all might hear. He said,
Hear you the meaning of the parable. Men hear my words and do not
understand them, and then the carnal kills the seed, by rejecting and
neglecting the word, and not a sign of spirit life appears. This is the
seed that fell within the trodden paths of humanity.
And others hear the words of
life, and with a fiery zeal receive them all. They seem to comprehend the truth
and promise well. But troubles come. Discouragements arise. There is no
depth of thought. Their good intentions wither up and die. These are the
seeds that fell in stony ground.
And others hear the words of
truth and seem to know their worth. But love of pleasure, reputation, wealth
and fame fill all the soil. Therefore, seeds are not nourished and they are
lost. These are the seeds that fell among the thistles and the thorns.
But others hear the words of
truth and comprehend them well. The words sink down deep into their souls. They
live the holy life and all the world is blessed.
These are the seeds that fell in
fertile soil, that brought forth fruit abundantly.
You men of Galilee, take heed
to how you hear and how you cultivate your fields. For if you slight the offers
of this day, the sower may not come to you again in this or in the age to come
those who neglect to use the opportunity of hearing the Gospel of Truth and
Salvation, may not have the opportunity again, until after so many years or
several lifetimes, after they have suffered many years of afflictions, which
are not even necessary.
"Now the parable
is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the wayside are the people who
hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest
they should believe and be saved. But the ones on the rock are those who, when
they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a
while and in time of temptation fall away. Now the ones that fell among thorns
are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches,
and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. But the ones that fell
on the good soil are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good
heart, keep it and do it, and bear fruits with patience and perseverance.
More Facts And
Details
Again He began to teach beside the sea. And a
very large crowd gathered about Him, so that He got into a boat and sat in it
on the sea; and the whole crowd was beside the sea on the land. And He taught
them many things in parables, and in His teaching He said to them: Listen! A
sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell
along the path, and the birds came and devoured it. Other seed fell on rocky
ground, where it had not much soil, and immediately it sprang up, since it had
no depth of soil; and when the sun rose it was scorched, and since it had no
root it withered away. Other seed fell among thorns and the thorns grew up and
choked it, and it yielded no grain. And other seeds fell into good soil and brought
forth grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold
and a hundredfold. And he said, He who has ears to hear, let him hear. Mark
4:1-9
Explanations
The
sower sows the word. And these are the ones along the path, where the word is
sown; when they hear, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word which is
sown in them.
And these in like manner are the ones sown
upon rocky ground, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with
joy; and they have no root in themselves, but endure for a while; then, when
tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately they fall
away.
And others are the ones sown among thorns;
they are those who hear the word, but the cares of the world, and the delight
in riches, and the desire for other things, enter in and choke the word, and it
proves unfruitful.
But those that were sown upon the good soil
are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and
sixtyfold and a hundredfold. Mark 4:14-20
Then Jesus
sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him,
saying, "Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field."
He answered
and said to them: "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are
the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the
harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and
burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and
they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who
practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will
be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then
the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He
who has ears to hear, let him hear! Matthew 13:36-43
Only
those who remain steadfast in doing the word of God shall inherit the kingdom
of heaven.
"Therefore
hear the parable of the sower: When
anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the
wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who
received seed by the wayside. But he who
received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and
immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures
only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the
word, immediately he stumbles. Now he
who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of
this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes
unfruitful. But he who received seed on
the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears
fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty." Matthew
13:18-23
Many who attend prayers and worship pretend to
be saints before the men of God, while inside the churches, ministries and
fellowship. But, once they leave the house of God they forget every good
teaching and turn themselves again into wolves and demons, who are heedlessly
breaking every commandment of God, even so without remorse, without restraint
and without repentance.
